Before Ron Paul can get elected, he has to be nominated by delegates at the Republican National Convention which will take place in St. Paul, Minnesota. September 1-4, 2008.
* He has never voted to raise taxes.
* He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
* He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
* He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
* He has never taken a government-paid junket.
* He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
* He voted against the Patriot Act.
* He voted against regulating the Internet.
* He voted against the Iraq war.
* He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
* He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
* Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

This is an interview of Ron Paul on KMBZ radio in Kansas City on June 15, 2007. I recorded this with my digital camera on the way to see ... all » Ron Paul at the Uptown Theater. The Shanin and Parks radio said they would not have Dr. Paul on their show until he could poll at least 2% in a national "scientific" poll. On the same day Paul was in KC, a Wall Street Journal poll came out with Paul at 2%. Dr. Paul is heard here being interviewed on the Shanin and Parks radio program, which had previously taken the extreme view of censoring Ron Paul's name on the air. This was following the debate during which Dr. Paul suggested that our foreign policy might have been a contributing factor to 9/11. Members of the Kansas City meetup group gathered 881 signatures demanding that the censoring come to an end, upon which time KMBZ agreed to lift the ban on Ron Paul. KMBZ adjusted their normal station breaks to allow host Scott Parks a full 10 minute interview with Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul comes back for an unscheduled encore and conducts a question and answer session during his appearance at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City on June 15, 2007. The owner of the Uptown Theater estimated the attendance to be around 800.
